| Jagoree joins panel debate organized by DU Economics Study Group |

Jagoree members Mridul Chowdhury and Tahmina Khanam participated as panelists in a debate cum panel discussion organized by Economics Study group of Dhaka University. Other notable panelists included Prof. Anu Muhammad of Jahangirnagar university (also member of Jatiyo Tel-Gas-Bandor Rokkha Nagorik Committee), Prof. MM Akash of Dhaka University and Arun Karmakar, Senior Journalist of Prothom Alo. The panel discussion was organized on the topic of "Model PSC, Oil and Gas Exploration: An Analysis", and started with a lively round of debate between "government" and "opposition" groups formed by students. They highlighted the salient arguments of both sides. The panelists then took the discussion forward by analysing various aspects of the PSC, and the oil and gas export issue.
Rubayat Khan and Mahrukh Mohiuddin of Jagoree were also present at the event, and Rushad Faridi of Jagoree (also coordinator of the DU Economics Study Group) moderated the panel discussion. |
