Vision 2021 Forum and Youth Against Hunger jointly organized a discussion on "Vision 2021: Thoughts of New Generation" at National Press Club on Friday 29 May. Seven members and executives from Jagoree attended the event, and Rubayat Khan of Jagoree led the track on Student Politics and Activism. He highlighted on the need for functional student councils in private universities, and called upon private university students to think about the future of the country and engage in nation-building.Several other institutions and organizations shared their thoughts on "Vision 2021" which Awami League has declared and Vision 2021 Forum is campaigning since 2001. Chaired by Mohidul Hoque Khan, Chairman of Vision 2021 Forum, the event also had Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor (Member of Parliament, Awami League) and Mr. Mozammel Hossain Monju (Deputy Editor, Shamokal) as guests. Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor in his concluding speech expressed gratitude for such an event, and called for written outputs to be taken to the Parliamentary Subcommittees for discussion. He reiterated the AL government's intention to fulfill its promises, but also highlighted how difficult it is in real life, and emphasized that citizens must not depend on the government only and instead pool their efforts together in building the future of the nation. |
