The workshop was divided into three sessions: Inaugural, group discussion and closing. The Minister for Youth and Sports was the chief guest in the closing session. Two MPs – one from the ruling party and the other from the opposition – and the noted economist Prof. Anisur Rahman and several UNDP officials also participated in the workshop. One TV channel and foremost newspapers covered this program with importance. For more details, please see The Daily Star: http://www.thedailystar.net/ |

Five Jagoree members and executives joined the workshop titled `National Budget and the Thoughts of Youth’ organized by Youth Ending Hunger and UN Millennium Campaign on 16 May, 09 at IDB Bhaban. The whole day workshop had prominent speakers and guests from the government, UN, academia and media. Jagoree members led two of the four group discussions (on "Participation in Policy Formulation" and "Volunteerism") and presented their findings in front of the 100 plus young participants from 33 districts of the country and representing 15 different student organizations.
