Jagoree was invited to join a prestigious seminar titled "60 er Doshoker Gonojagoron - Mass Uprising in the '60s", organized by the Moni Singh-Farhad Trust, a foundation formed by prominent ex-student politicians who were involved in the great 1960s movements and uprisings leading to the Liberation War.

Mridul Chowdhury of Jagoree was a panelist among such prominent national politicians as Motia Chowdhury (Agriculture Minister), Nurul Islam Nahid (Education minister), Hasanul Huq Inu (MP), Tofael Ahmed (MP), Mujahidul Islam Selim (MP), Rashed Khan Mennon (MP), Ayesha Khanam, etc. Other Jagoree members were also present.

All the politicians, and the keynote speech before that, highlighted the significance of the 1960s movements in creating an atmosphere which eventually led to the independence of Bangladesh. They recounted their experiences and feelings from those times, and inspired the audience. Mridul Chowdhury, on his turn, refreshingly underlined the importance of using the lessons of 1960s to look ahead into the future. He mentioned the need for youth action at the same level and magnitude in the present era in order to change the political culture and direction of the country, the vital importance of information in shaping youth opinions and helping their understanding become more informed, etc, and the role of Jagoree in enabling these factors. Subsequent speakers referred to Mridul's speech and in their rhetoric indicated their commitment towards youth empowerment. The Education Minister was particularly inspiring, mentioning his struggles in reforming the education system to build a more prosperous Bangladesh through youth development.

The event was organized in memory of Bazlur Rahman and Saifuddin Ahmed Manik, and was held in the Trust's auditorium in Purana Paltan.
