The Budget Analysis Competition is our effort to engage the youth of Bangladesh to critically examine the fiscal issues facing Bangladesh, analyze those important issues and form their own opinions about them, guided by relevant experts. It facilitates students to identify important questions about the direction of the nation and introduces them to the socio-politic-economic circumstances of the country. The main objective is to get the youth to start thinking about issues of social, economic and political relevance in the context of Bangladesh, with the long term goal of creating future leaders in the economic and political scene of Bangladesh.

The Budget Analysis by the students of both public and private universities was started in 2009 as the Budget Seminar. Starting this year, the program will undergo a structural and procedural change to take a look at the performance of previous years’ budget, use of funds and analyze the current year’s budget given by the AL government to see the performance of budgetary allocation.
